Buxoplas, an abbreviation of Buxton Plastics, was originally created by James Alexander Mycock, his son James and his wife Audrey in 1967. In a small building in the Peak District town of Buxton, the business entered into the manufacturing industry plastic-coating pump stands and coat hangers. From this humble beginning, the family business relocated from Buxton to Tideswell in 1970. They established their first factory in the old Bakehouse, where they diversified into the plastic extrusion business with the aid of James and Audrey’s sons; Ray and Steven. Over the years the business grew from strength to strength allowing it to make its final move from Tideswell to Bradwell in 1989. Today Buxoplas offers an extensive range of plastic tubing products and supplies components for a variety of manufacturing industries.

In 2012, Buxoplas celebrated its 45th anniversary, and with three generations of the family currently working within the business, the family based culture remains highly significant. Throughout a variety of economic climates the business has continued to advance and diversify within the ever changing manufacturing industry. With the experience and knowledge of the older generations, infused with the innovative ideas of the younger ones Buxoplas continues to move forward, supplying quality and diverse products to an expanding customer base, both inside and out of the UK.
